Glue Resist

A new challenge on Next Generations for glue resist or gloopy glue.

I had a lot of fun with these.

Mine are deliberate sort of, not random.

FAUX CHIPBOARD

One of the Yahoo groups I belong to set a challenge to create a sketchbook page with the theme Faux Chipboard. We had to use fun foam shapes so I raided my grandchildrens stash. Two coats of gesso, two coats of Willow paint dabber and some stamping with a paint dabber and Brilliance inkpads. I came up with this.

Egypt December 2007

On the 10th December 2007 we flew down to Luxor to board our boat
MS Florence for a week on the Nile.

The following morning we left at 5am to visit The Temple at Karnak.
We watched the sun rise at 5.30 am

After a trip to The Perfume Palace we toured the Luxor Temple.

ABU SIMBEL

We travelled by mini bus in a military convoy for 2 and 1/2 hours through the Sahara Desert to this temple dedicated to Ramses the 3rd. We beheld four 65 feet high figures cut out of the side of a mountain. Awesome

TEMPLE OF NEFERTARI - Abu Simbel

VALLEY OF THE KINGS

Note the pyramid a natural formation of the mountain in the desert. This would hide the ancient graveyard from tomb robbers. 63 tombs have been found thus far.

The entrance to the famous King Tutankhamun. The tomb is small compared to some of the others because of the young Kings untimely death.
