Stratford and Warwick Castle March 2011

I have just returned from Stratford
On Avon,
the birthplace of William Shakespeare.


The back of the house where William was born.
The Front of the House. My daughter Becky is stood outside.

Anne Hathaways Cottage -
the family home where she grew up before she married William Shakespeare.

Nash's House the home of Shakespeare's Granddaughter.
Shakespeare lived next door but it was demolished. There is excavation work going on and archeaologists along with volunteers are digging on the site

It's such a lovely tranquill place isn't it Carol, or at least it was when we were last there, although I have to admit, it was some years ago now!!!!!

Looks like you had a great trip round Shakespeare country. I was there about 20 years ago and just loved the garden round Anne Hathaway's cottage. I still can't believe Shakespeare left her only their second best bed! Elizabeth x
